When maps or apps don't show that a lift is broken or a curb is too high, it doesn't just cause a delay; it creates a "dead zone" that takes away a person's independence. I want to change that by learning directly from the people who navigate these challenges every day.
I’m looking for participants who:
Live in or around Cape Town.
Use mobility aids like a manual or power wheelchair, a walker, crutches, or a cane to get around public spaces.
Are willing to "think out loud" and share their honest experiences, the good, the bad, and the frustrating.
If you’re selected, we’ll have an online chat. Because I want this to be as comfortable as possible, we can use whichever app you prefer: WhatsApp Video, Skype, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.
I’ll be acting as a moderator to help guide the conversation, but you’re the expert here. My job is to listen and make sure we’re capturing the real story of how you navigate the city.
Your time and knowledge are incredibly valuable. To say thanks, I’ll send you a coffee voucher (like Vida e Caffè or Starbucks) after our session
Ready to make a difference?
By filling out this quick form, you’re helping me uncover the "dead-zones" in our urban design that most people overlook. I want to hear your stories and your frustrations so we can map a more accessible future together. It only takes two minutes to see if you’re a fit, and if you are I’d love to buy you a coffee for your expertise following an interview.
